Branksome Chine has a superb safe, sandy beach, a popular restaurant right next to the beach and the famous beach huts. A peaceful stroll through the woodlands of the Chine is always very pleasant.
Branksome Chine offers a more peaceful holiday environment than the central parts of either Bournemouth or Poole, as you would expect, but it is not far from the action. Branksome offers spectacular views of the Grand Prix powerboat races in Poole Bay.
The walk along the Promenade underneath the cliffs or along the beach to Bournemouth Pier is very pleasant. In the opposite direction you can walk towards Sandbanks where there is the passenger ferry to Studland and Swanage on the Isle of Purbeck.
The land train runs along the Promenade to Bournemouth Pier and Boscombe Pier beyond and makes light work of the return trip of your walk. Open top buses travel to Bournemouth and Poole - so let the breeze run through your hair whilst admiring this lovely area!
